Prime Sports Baseball

Dan Flaherty will analyze what’s going on between the lines in MLB each week, from who’s hot to who’s struggling, to big matchups ahead to trade rumors and more. Dan will offer his perspective on what streaking teams are likely to sustain, what cold ones are about to re-ignite, and who needs to do what, if they are to play into October.

Dan Flaherty writes a daily Sports Notebook blog published through the RealClearSports.com blog network. From baseball to college & NFL football to college basketball, Dan examines boxscores and reviews data to offer a perspective different from the mainstream media spin and one more attuned to what’s actually taking place between the lines. He’s passionate about the history of sports, especially the developing history of his own era starting in the mid-1970s and moving forward to the present day. He is the author of The Last New Year’s, a book that captures the period of 1976-1993 when January 1 was the centerpiece of college football.
